Lead Paint Inspections

Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services is an approved LRA (local rehab agency) for the MassHousing Get The Lead Out Program (GTLO).  Our rehabilitation specialist is a licensed lead paint inspector in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.  In addition, our rehabilitation specialist is a Massachusetts-licensed construction supervisor.  As the LRA for the Massachusetts GTLO program, Springfield NHS conducts the lead paint inspection, pre-qualifies the homeowner, oversees the rehab and deleading work, and manages disbursements to the contractor.  The MassHousing GTLO program is a zero-percent deferred payment loan which requires no payments from the borrower until the property is sold or refinanced.  The program is available for owner-occupants and investor-owners with different terms.
